NO PETROCHEMICALS That means no petrolatum (petroleum jelly) and no mineral oil, both of which clog pores and are chemically derived. One form of petrochemicals fuels your vehicle. Nice, eh?

 

NO PROPYLENE GLYCOL That stuff goes into radiators. Check product lists – you’d be amazed at how often this ingredient is added to products. I don’t know why.

 

NO FORMALDEHYDE You’d be even more surprised – and dismayed – to learn how many products contain this chemical. I have personally experienced trouble with shampoos containing formaldehyde – my hair started falling out and my stylist explained this was the reason!

 

NO ARTIFICIAL INGREDIENTS with these exceptions:

 

When essential oils that occur in nature are harvested in such a way that harms the environment, (for example, when a tree is killed to harvest the oil or resin from it), outrageously costly, or unavailable, I will use a small percentage of chemically created fragrance oil as a substitute.   When required for product safety (for example, when water is added to a cream or lotion, it creates a perfect growing medium for little nasties you don’t want on your skin) I use 0.5% maximum preservative blend of parabens, containing very small amounts of phenoxyethanol, methylparaben, butylparaben, ethylparaben, propylparaben. This is the least harmful preservative we could find that actually does what it should – protect you and yours from bacteria, yeast, molds, etc.

 

All-natural means ALL NATURAL. Anything artificial (human-made) is clearly stated on the label.
